ABOUT MOTION LAB
The Motion Analysis Laboratory, led by University Chair Professor Fong-Chin Su over the years has followed the government’s promotion of industrial policies, responded to the needs of society, and applied cutting-edge technologies. Additionally, they extended their research theories and experimental outcomes to clinical and practical applications, including studies on facility safety in childcare environments, promoting health in aging populations, smart home rehabilitation, remote healthcare, etc.
Furthermore, the Motion Analysis Laboratory in recent years has been increasing its diversity, with members from Germany, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam and Bangladesh joining for research degrees and internships. The lab has also actively engaged in international collaborations and established long-term research partnerships with Tohoku University and Nara Institute of Science and Technology in the development of VR/AR training systems and in the evaluation of the effects of visual, and tactile feedback on training. Collaboration with Vilans, the national Centre of Expertise for Long-term Care in the Netherlands has also been established, to jointly implement the EU’s HAAL project.
